Toronto Blue Jays Wiki

This page is a listing of all the players who have worn the number "42" for the Toronto Blue Jays, and for what years.

In 1947, Jackie Robinson became the first African American man to play in the Major Leagues. In honour of this, his number was retired throughout baseball in 1997. Players were allowed to wear his number in Mr. Robinson's memory, and on special occasions.

An asterisk ( " * " ) denotes that the number was shared between two or more players during that year.
